I’m very happy that my background inspires you. It took me awhile to set it up. I started by modeling each background in 3D then importing what I needed into Photoshop. A technique I picked up from Paul Duffield, artist of Freak Angels (awesome comic). I’m still pretty rusty at this and haven’t quiet mastered it yet, but hopefully it’ll get better as I get more practice. ^_^
