The Becoming

DK & I would like to thank everyone for sticking with us during the week & a half long hiatus this month. It certainly was no picnic for us as a dearly loved member of the family was hospitalized only to be released and brought back in that same night and then kept for several days as they tried out new treatments/meds. It was pretty scary.

Big props to DK for jumping right back into the pages without missing a beat – I especially loved the look on Elrod’s face in Panel 2 and Belmont’s sneer in Panel 4. Great, great stuff there.

That new installment of the Call will either go up Wednesday or Thursday this week, I haven’t decided yet, but it’s definitely going live this week so keep an eye out for it.

We’re fast approaching the conclusion to Chapter 2 so now may be a good time to mention that we’re killing the interlude that was originally to come after it. We just decided that the events coming up in the next few chapters would better be served without the interruption, although there will be at least one more interlude before Volume 1 concludes. When we took the poll after Chapter 1, we had something like an 80/20 split in favor of the interludes so I hope this won’t disappoint anyone, although more DK art and less J art doesn’t seem like that’s actually possible. ;P

Lastly, the wibiya toolbar seems to be doing okay with no real complaints or problems so I think we’re going to take advantage of it and clear off some of the buttons on the website that it now renders redundant. Any strong objections to that end, please speak up now!
