Yay for characters actually speaking to one another. Only took us 6 pages to get here too….

I’m interested to see where this is going. The church caught my attention last page, now I wonder how powerful it is and how well-liked it is. I also wonder what their religion is based on. It sounds like it could be a religion of war just based on what little we’ve seen…

Ditching school to go to church!? This is like skipping out on mowing the law to go dig trenches.

I’m intrigued by the hint that how he got the text would be worse than him believing what it says. Also, hurray dialogue!

Gedece: Glad you enjoyed our first real dip into dialogue. You really hit the nail on the head with Percy and we’ll definitely be seeing a bit more of that develop as well as the hows and whys of it.

Micah: The church is essentially the dominant power in this city-state. We’ll get a better understanding of the government setup soon. Like any major power, it has its supporters as well as it’s detractors. From this page, I think you can see where Percy falls on it. =)

Ramsus: I probably should clarify that he actually got the book from Percy – obviously without his knowledge though. This was more clear in a line of dialogue that was omitted due to how cluttered this page became during lettering. I might need to go try and find a way to get that back in there though.

Again, DK and I want to think everyone for their continued support and comments – they’ve already made this a very valuable and rewarding experience for us.

I just discovered this comic from a project wonderful ad (the artstyle intrigued me) and am working my way through the archives. I’m geting the feeling that percy’s gonna end up being my favorite character. “[He] is a certifiable nutjob, despite what the churchmay say to the contrary.”something about that line amuses me greatly, and I haven’t even met the man in question.
